About Vito Services
Our Story Began Many Years Ago…
The year was 1934. In the midst of The Great Depression, James Vito Sr. opened Vito Services down on Kennedy Street in Washington, DC. Founded on humble beginnings and big dreams, Mr. Vito began servicing local businesses with his new plumbing company and soon the one-man shop grew into a family business with a service area spanning hundreds of miles.
As Vito Services continued to grow and expand from a Commercial Plumbing outfit in DC, to servicing businesses in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and even Pennsylvania. In the early 90’s Vito Services began serving Residential Plumbing customers in DC, MD & Northern Virginia.
It wasn’t long after that Vito Services got into the HVAC business, serving both Commercial HVAC and Residential HVAC customers, proving both Air Conditioning Service, AC Repair and A/C Installation to consumers and businesses all across the tri-state area.
Today, Vito Services has more than 50 employees and 30 vans across the DMV area.
Vito prides itself on having the most well-trained staff and technicians in the industry, and has always remained on the cutting edge, both internally and in the field. Vito Services went paperless in 2008, long before it became the industry norm, and added e-commerce to our website to allow customers to purchase and pay online. Vito also prides itself on staying on the cusp of all new industry breakthroughs from Tankless Water Heaters to UV Lights & HEPA Filters, to Drain Cleaning Camera Services, Hydro-Jet Pipe Clearing Waterspouts and Backflow Prevention Testing, to Solar Power and Radiant Energy and Touchless Hands-Free Fixtures, the new normal in Commercial Plumbing.
Vito Services was also a founding participant in Washington DC’s Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program (LPRAP), having assisted DC Water to change out the dangerous lead pipes in over 100 homes in the district and counting!
