Adjust the Temperature on Water Heaters
Do you live in a household where there is a race for the bathroom in the morning because the last one in always gets a cold shower. Running out of hot water is a common problem that can be resolved quite easily. Water heaters have a thermostat dial that allows you to turn up the temperature. On a low setting you will run out of hot water after a couple showers. Turn the temperature up and you’ll turn the dial in the shower toward the blue rather than the red. It means you use less hot water so it goes farther. Yes, your gas or electric bill will go up, but that’s the trade off for making sure everyone in the family gets to have a hot shower.
