Summer is here and that means that warm weather has come with it! If you’re looking to beat the heat you’ve probably thought that maybe now is the time to get yourself a new air conditioner
for your home. While we completely agree that an air conditioner is always
a good idea, it’s important that you know what to expect when making the investment.
It goes without saying that we’re here for you if you have questions- we invite you to contact us
if you need to!
When you are looking for a new air conditioner for your home it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the information that’s out there. Between figuring out what you actually need
and who to call (hint: we’re a pretty good choice!), it can be confusing at best and intimidating at worst.
First Steps: Your Quote
It starts with a customized quote based on your individual needs. The sheer variety of home layouts and types in the Tri-State area means that we need to visit your home to properly assess it. During this visit our comfort specialist will take the time needed to understand the type of air conditioning equipment that is the most appropriate for your needs. They will consider:
- The size and layout of your home
- How much space you have beside and behind your home
- The type of mounting hardware required for a clean, attractive installation
- Other HVAC equipment that you may be considering, such as a humidifier or thermostat
- Your budget and timeline
During this consultation we will be able to provide you an accurate quote that reflects your specific situation.
Step Two: Installation
Installation day- finally, you’re only a few hours away from a comfortable climate-controlled environment!
Our technician will arrive fully stocked and ready to go. The installation itself will take anywhere from 4 – 8 hours, depending on the installation complexity and ease of access to the install area. While we would like you to be home when the technician first arrives, you do not need to remain home if you are unable to. So long as we have access to your furnace, electrical panel, and install area we will be able to get to work.
Step Three: Post-Installation Education & Information
Our technician will walk you through how to use your new equipment, as well as what to expect in terms of maintenance and upkeep. It is important that you understand this information so that you are completely comfortable with your new air conditioner. Often, the most important part of your air conditioning installation
isn’t the air conditioner itself- it’s learning how to use it and keep it running great.
Of course, we are always available to you if you have questions or need clarification about your air conditioning installation. We’d also like to take this opportunity to highlight how a Service Contract
can dramatically reduce the complexity of maintenance and upkeep of your new air conditioner. We recommend you consider it!
