08/08/2024 arrived to clean coil and add leak seal. pulled unit fan off. washed unit with coil cleaner. checked unit pressures. and added leak seal. system is cooling properly at this time.
08/06/2024 Today, I arrived on site and found the following issues with the system: Outdoor unit not operating Bad 45/7.5 capacitor Contactor full of bugs, making a load chattering noise Here are the recommended repairs, replacements, and additional services: Repairs: Replace the bad 45/7.5 capacitor Replace the contactor soon due to the load chattering noise Replacements: Replace the bad contactor Additional Service: Clean the coil Add a leak seal After replacing the capacitor, the system is now running. However, I noticed that the subcooling was low. I went inside to check the temperature split, which was 13. To address the low subcooling and ensure optimal performance, I charged the system with 2 lbs of 410a refrigerant. I will need to make a return trip to clean the coil and add a leak seal. Overall, the system is now operational, but further maintenance is required to improve performance and prevent future issues. R-410a Dye, Leak Sealant, and recharge Includes
06/26/2024 No AC, found compressor locked out on thermal overload, cooled it down but when it comes on and checked my refrigerant pressures there is no compression taking place and amps draws are pretty high. System is from 2009 and not longer under warranty. Customer states he added refrigerant a few years ago so there is a chance of a refrigerant leak somewhere. provided customer with options to replace system or replace compressor. Quoted Customer for a compressor change out but advised it is a gamble due to a potential leak on system. Customer wants to speak to comfort advisor. No charge for call. we were out for a maintenance a couple of weeks ago
