07/16/2024 NO AC CALL. Upstairs unit in the attic came on but the outdoor compressor kept shutting on and off. I checked and cleaned the outdoor unit because it was extremely clogged. I than put my gauges on and I got a low side pressure of 150psi and i got a high side pressure of 335psi. While inspecting unit I also checked the capacitor to see if it was low because a low capacitor and dirty coil will end up over heating the compressor causing the unit to kick on and off. The capacitor was low and I replaced it. After I cleaned the coil and replaced the capacitor the unit stayed on for about an hour and I kept an eye on my gauges and the pressure were steady. On the other hand I took my temperatures for my delta T and I got a return air temperature of 83.3 and a supply air temperature of 69.9. I will say to let the unit run to see if it cools down. If it does not cool down by tomorrow morning we will have to return. Thank you for choosing VITO SERVICES. Capacitor $320.00 Coil
Attic Air Conditioner Not Cooling 06/20/2024 Customer states upstairs system struggle to keep up during peak hours of hot weather. System thermostat set to 75 and satisfied. Turned system on and found supply temperature at 65F with return temp of 78. Checked refrigerant and noticed it was slightly low on refrigerant. Advised customer that this could be due to a leak in the system but would have to recharge add dye and leak sealer. Also gave option to simply recharge without the dye but none of this would guarantee a permanent solution. If system goes low again we would have to search for the dye. Customer agreed, I added two pounds of 410A including the pro charge. checked air filters and tested overall system performance and now cooling better ( Supply 59F and return 77F) R-410a Dye, Leak Sealant, and recharge Includes adding of the r-410a dye, refrigerant small leak seal and up to two pounds of refrigerant customer states he was advised to operate this unit at not lower then 75F
