Performed leak search and found leak in evaporator coil. Leak is to big to seal with sealant. Evaporator needs to be changed. Customer wants to have comfort adviser come out. Will have adviser call to set up. collected for doing leak test only.
Leak Search: Need to reschedule for next week While raining unable to perform leak test.
Returned to do leak search and charge system. Weather is to cold to add refrigerant, informed customer of situations and customer agreed to reschedule for a day above 32 degrees. Customer systems are still operational. Leak search $546 Seal leak and charge $717 R-410a Dye, Leak Sealant, and recharge Includes adding of the r-410a dye, refrigerant small leak seal and up to two pounds of refrigerant
The two technicians that did maintenance on my system were excellent. They were very knowledgeable and professional. Although they were there for maintenance, they identified an issue that I was aware of and explained the situation. I will request their service to fix the issue. Very pleasant visit.
Call todo maintenance on 2 systems. Checked basement system first. System is a 2015 90% Furnace /AC. Checked all components for proper operation found no issues with components. Secured any loose wires and checked for dirt and debris. Found blower clean along with evaporator coil. System does not have a UV light but does have a humidifier. Air filter is good. Checked humidifier found pad is in good condition. Turned water on to humidifier. Heat exchanger has hot spot but not cracked. Final cycled system at this time system is operational. Checked upstairs system next. System is a 2014 Heat pump. Checked all components for proper operation found no issues with components. Secured any loose wires and checked for dirt and debris. Found blower mostly clean along with evaporator coil. System does not have a UV light or humidifier. Air filter is good. Found emergency heat is working all elements amping at 20. Checked condenser unit and found system is amping within specs. Tested starting
NO HEAT / SHORT CYCLING i arrived at the 2012 90% high efficiency furnace. i called for heat and the unit came on. i noticed water inside the furnace from the exhaust pipe. And I also heard water in the inducer. Parts are worn out. After letting the unit run it cut off on high limit. i did a combustion test on the unit and it skyrocketed up to 500ppm. I immediately shut the furnace off and advised the client it is not safe. i took pictures and measurements of the full unit furnace and AC. i noticed that also the water heater has reached its life expectancy. Recommendations: Replace full system do to parts being compromised, cracked heat exchanger and the age. Replaced 65 Gal hot water heater. I have taken pictures and measurements of data plates and units and will upload them to XOI. i will also send info to mo so he can write up proposal to client.
