I returned today to replace the defrost board and defrost thermostat sensor. I rewired up everything and ran it through its cycles. I tested the heat pump, the aux heat and both worked okay without any issues. The unit was still icy due to the weather. Now when the heat pump kicks on it'll automatically reverse the cycle and melt the ice on the unit slowly. All seems to be working okay. Moving forward I recommend adding a surge protector to the disconnect box. The surge protector will all components from harm in case of any high voltage power surges. Heat pump from 2020 not defrosting and going into Aux heat. I arrived on site. I checked the indoor air handler and found filter clogged and dirty and in need of replacement. I checked wiring and connections and all limits and safetys okay at the air handler. I got a return air temp of 68 and a supply air temperature of 84. I felt refrigerant lines and compressor was running. I went to the outdoor condenser coil. If you look to the house it's the one to the right. The whole coil was iced up. The compressor and the outdoor fan were both running. I took off the cover of the condenser unit. The defrost board was flashing code "Low pressure lock out" But the unit was still running and pumping refrigerant. When the board flashes low pressure lockout the unit is automatically supposed to shut off to prevent any damage to the compressor. In this case it didn't. We can't really tell at this point if it's even low on refrigerant because the ice on the coils prevents us to get proper pressure r

FALL MAINTENANCE ON ONE 2019 CARRIER HEAT PUMP I checked the filter and replaced with one Costumer provided. I checked the indoor blower wheel motor housing compartment for any obstructions and found none. i checked UV bulb that was installed last year and working okay. I checked aux heat and electrical heater element and found okay. Blower amps are within specs. I checked all wiring and connection and all limits and safetys working okay as of now. I checked humidifier and turned on for client i also replaced water panel for the humidifier. i got a return air temperature of 70 and a supply air temperature of 125. I checked outdoor unit coil okay. I checked the surge protector on the disconnect box and found okay. I checked outdoor temperature and discharge temp. i checked suction line temp and liquid line temp found okay. I checked single pole Contactor found okay. I checked 45/5 MFD capacitor and found okay. I checked defrost board okay. This unit is running and heating as of now. R

07/19/2024 Returned today to charge the system. After adding 4lbs of 410A I heard a leak coming from the outdoor unit. I explained to the Costumer and showed him what was going on. He would prefer for a comfort advisor to come out and provide a quote on a new unit. I will pass this on to Moe. Thank you for choosing vito services.

07/18/2024 customer canceled repair for AC system today after work was done I removed refrigerant and die from the system flush the unit I'm only charging customer for cleaning up the coil and the diagnostic fee AC systems not working properly at this time. I add one pound of 410a to the system

Slow Drip in Basement 07/10/2024 upon arrival of home I noticed that there was a leaking 1/2" cap on a water line in the basement . customer says that he just wants the leak repaired because they are major renovation in the near future. with the customer consent I drained the house, removed cap and replaced with new copper cap. refilled home and checked for leaks. found no failures.
