06/21/2024 Today, I arrived on site to address the customer's concern about their AC not working properly. After speaking with the owner, I gathered the following information: System Performance: System seems to be working fine in the morning and evening, but turns off during the hottest part of the day. No Pepco box is installed. Initial Checks: Checked the condensate drain and found it to be free and clear. Owner informed me that the outdoor fan is running, but there is no cooling. Another company had previously replaced the contactor. Capacitor is in good condition. Temperature split is 20. Pressures are good and subcool is 11~. Possible Issue: It is possible that the system is overheating and the compressor is shutting off. The compressor is wrapped with insulation as per the manufacturer's instructions. Recommendation: Informed the owner to check the suction line to see if the compressor is still running if this issue happens again. This will provide a better descr

HVAC Call Replace TXV Coil 06/14/2024 Today, I arrived on site to verify if the TXV (Thermal Expansion Valve) needs to be replaced. Here is a summary of the work I performed and the current status of the system: Verification and Diagnosis: Checked the pressures on the unit and found them to be okay. However, the subcooling was 0, indicating a potential issue. Checked the chart on the system and determined that it was low on charge. Repairs and Replacements: Charged the system with 5lbs of 410A refrigerant. Added a leak seal to address any potential leaks. System Performance: After charging the unit, the temperature split inside the system improved to 20. The pressures are now much closer to the recommended values on the chart. The subcooling is now at 11. The system is currently cooling properly. Additional Service: No additional services were required or performed at this time. Please note that this summary only covers the work performed and the current status of the sy
