07/10/2024 Today, I arrived on site to address the customer's complaint of improper cooling. Here's what I observed and the actions I took: Improper Cooling in Basement: Noticed sweating ducts in the un-insulated finished basement, which has been an ongoing issue. No damper to control airflow through the basement plenum. Recommended installing a damper to minimize airflow through the basement plenum and improve cooling. Replaced the 1-inch filter with a 4-inch pleated filter for better filtration. Improving Airflow: Closed all basement supplies to improve airflow upstairs. Checked all supplies and returns upstairs, ensuring they are open. found a return in one bed room blocked not allowing proper circulation in one room. other rooms supply is under a bed. bathroom upstairs has minimal air flow. bed room air flow is improved with closing supplies downstairs. will need to re open supplies in winter for heat. Cooling for Addition: Noticed that the addition is open concept

Today, I arrived on site to find that the customer's AC system was not working. However, upon inspection, I found that the system was actually operating when I arrived. Here is a summary of my findings: Compressor voltage and amps are within specifications. The capacitor is in good condition. The temperature split is 20 degrees, with a 49-degree supply. The condensate pump and thermostat are both functioning properly. Based on these observations, I believe that the issue that may have caused the system to be off could be related to the condensate pump or thermostat. However, both of these components are currently working fine. At this time, the system is on and cooling. No repairs, replacements, or additional services are recommended based on the current condition of the system.

Responded to a call for a faulty sump pump in Takoma Park, MD: Sump pump had power and float was up, switched it out with a new Zoeller Sump Pump and it works well now. I also examined another other pump in another room and it's pit was full. At first I thought it was the same problem but after I confirmed power to the out let box through one socket I checked the other. I moved the pump plug to the other socket and the pump came on so we only need to replace just one sump pump. Thank you for choosing Vito!
