Leak Search, Leaky Toilet: Examined area of concern by customer. In August, roadwork outside caused shower door to shatter from shaking entire house. Not long after, customer viewed rug saturated on bathroom floor. Customer could not determine cause of leak and shutdown toilet. Turned on toilet and allowed to run, fill & flush multiple times with no recreation of leak. Tub area is compromised, but customer states no one had used tub area for at least a month prior to viewing water on floor. Ran Lavy and continued flushing toilet. No leaks visible from toilet. Spoke to customer regarding situation and left toilet operational. Advised customer to monitor toilet and replacement may be necessary if there is a hairline crack on the inside of bowl. Gave customer investment options to accommodate situation. No leaks reproduced today. Spots on ceiling are dry. Thank you for choosing Vito!
08/22/2024 Arrived on site and visited the Rectory where the maintenance man met us and explained what was happening. we went to the basement and disassembled the wall cover to expose the pipe. we then went upstairs and cut out drywall right some the basement area and ran the toilet to make sure the problem wasn't higher then the basement. we found out that the pipe was cracked for about 6 feet and so we told the Priest and maintenance man that we would replace it with PVC. We went to the supply house to get materials and came back and cut out all the cracked pipe and replaced it with new PVC. after connecting the pipe we went upstairs to the problem bathroom and replaced a fill valve then tested for leaks and found none. we let the maintenance man and office worker know what we did and cleaned up our work area. Thank you for choosing Vito

08/12/2024 customer advised us that they are having a leak in the basement. upon arrival a maintenance guy showed us where exactly the leak was coming from. the leak was coming from a sanitary drain stack that is connected to the 3rd floor bathroom. In order to find exactly where the leak is coming from on the pipe we will have to cut multiple holes in the wall either on the 2nd or 3rd floor. relayed this information back to the customer and the customer advised us that they would like to get back with up to get confirmation from their boss to make the repairs. customer would like to get a quote for leak search and repair. pack up equipment and left job site.

AC Summer Check 06/24/2024 Today, I arrived on site for a cooling maintenance job. The customer informed me that the unit is not effectively cooling the upstairs area. Here's what I found: AC Unit: Checked the AC unit and found that the pressures were low for a 75 outside temperature. Attic: Temperature reading in the attic is 65/65. Temperature at the return is 70 and the temperature right above the filter is 75. Supply temperature is 51. Noticed that the condensate drain is sweating and dripping. The drain line may need to be wrapped to prevent this. The water from the condensate is cold, but the attic space is too hot. Central Return: The attic unit has 1 central return, so the door upstairs needs to be open for each room to cool effectively. Supply Plenum: The supply plenum is not wrapped on the outside. It may be wrapped on the inside, as I don't see any sweating on the outside plenum. However, there is sweat coming from the register in the space. Conclusion: I bel

2024 arrived onsite in Garrett Park, MD, kitchen sink backed up with blockage very far down the drain line. also PVC trap nut leaking. snaked 45 feet with K-50 and encountered resistance around 40 feet. pulled back cables and ran garden hose down line for approximately 10 min. replaced PVC trap with tubular trap. ran kitchen faucet and checked for leaks and proper drainage. cleaned up and removed all job related debris. lastly, advised engineer that it is very likely that a cast iron underground pipe is broken which is causing the frequent back ups. need to come back with camera to scope the drain line and locate the section of broken pipe. at that point we can move to digging up the line and making the repair. told engineer that someone can come back this week with camera because kitchen sink will eventually back up with broken underground pipe. however after today's snaking sink will be okay for a while. also need to bring chrome shower arm for upstairs shower.
