Today, I arrived on site to address a no heat issue for the customer. Found flame roll out switches on the right side to be popped. Reset the switches to restore functionality. Noticed the flame sensor wire was burnt up. Detected a strong smell of uncombusted gas when the furnace heat was activated. Used a gas leak detector; no leaks were present. Observed that the gas valve was releasing too much gas. Adjusted the gas pressure and tested; the gas smell from the furnace dissipated. Confirmed the furnace is now on and running properly. Recommended replacing the flame sensor due to the burnt back end. Suggested replacing the wire to the flame sensor for safety and efficiency. I was informed unit has had some issues since it being installed with it seems to be air flow issues. reccomend Comport advisor to check to see if the furnace needs to add a return. furnace is installed with flex line going into furnace housing. needs to be hard piped in. unit is under warranty.
