NO AC CALL: Carrier air handler located in the attic is from 2020 and Bryant condenser unit is from 2021 Unit upstairs not cooling. I checked and removed both filters and were very clogged. The client will be responsible for purchasing more filters and replacing them. I called for ac and the unit kicked on. Indoor fan came on and outdoor unit came on. I took temperatures and got a 5 degree split. I checked evap coil and found clean. I checked blower wheel and found clean and free from any obstructions. I went to outdoor unit and noticed coil was very clogged. Pressures were 80/270psi . What needs to be done first is a thorough coil clean to get accurate head pressures and then after add about 2-4 lbs of refrigerant into system to get it running properly. The client agreed to the work and she went with option #2. After her approval I added 3lbs instead of the 2lbs that were quoted and I slowly watched pressures rise. Checked sub cool at 11 degrees. Dicscharge and outdoor temp were okay
Arrived, foung bad 50 7.5 cap and burt contactor. Warned owner system is 20 years old and should be replace. Proposed many options. Unit needs a cleaning capacitor replaced and contactor replaced. Unit has already had a fan motor replacement. The equipment next to the ac unit generates alot of heat. Impacting unit cooling capacity. Unit now on and running.
Arrived. 4.5yr old water heater has water in pan. Inspected area and water in pan is cold. Made customer aware that Condensation line is clogged and water heater pan is it's closest relief point. Gave customer investment options for required process to restore flow in area today. Customer agreed. Went to truck and acquired materials and returned inside. Attempted to blow out line to no avail. Ran small drain cable through condensation line by hand and restored flow in area. Used funnel and hot water to test for flow restoration. Flow is fully restored in area at this time. Can hear water running through drainline into drain under step. Used wetvac to recover water from water heater pan. Secured condensation line together with existing coupling and tightened. There are no further concerns in home at this time. Thank you for choosing Vito!
For this job I did an AC maintenance on a 2023 Rheem Indoor unit 2023 Rheem 80% furnace As I replaced 16x25x1 Air-filters I noticed dust cultivating in AIR vent I recommended a duct clean to client and she's well aware. Blower wheel amps reading 5.69 within range. Blower wheel is still clean for now filters been working properly and been changed properly. EVAPORATOR coil has no leakage or corrosion. Condensate line is draining with no blockage. Condensate pump is working well and draining. I got a split temp of 18. Control board is functioning and communicating with system. All wires on terminals reading 24v. All wires are intact and no obstruction found. Outdoor unit Goodman 2023. I recommend getting a hard start kit for this unit as all Goodman units require a hard start to help enhance compressor start. Capacitor is reading within MFS RANGE contactor has 24v/240v. Condesor coil is clean and I gave it a rinse as well. Insulation is still insulated with no tare. Client went wi
Arrived for no ac. Found indoor unit it operation running and a pop outside. Went outside and found outdoor unt fried to capacitor. System old r22. Need to be replaced. Arrived onsite, customer has leaking angle stop valve supplying hot water to dishwasher leaking. Turned off water to house and removed existing multi-turn angle stop valve under kitchen sink. Installed new 1/4 valve. Turned water back on to home and checked for leaks. Cleaned up and removed all job related debris.
Arrived onsite, customer has 2 2nd floor Delta tub/shower faucets not getting hot. Advised customer that it is most likely the rotational limit stop as opposed to the cartridge because the faucets are only 5 years old. Used hex key to remove handle and expose the rotational limit stop. Pulled out and turned to hottest setting (factory is set in the middle but technician should adjust it during the installation). Put handle back on and ran water to check for proper temperature. Handle also has a better range of motion now going all the way to the left. Followed same procedure in other 2nd floor bathroom, and made sure water got to proper temperature. Also noticed flapper in toilet tank closest to laundry room is worn and recommended a replacement. Turned water off to tank and replaced existing flapper. Turned water back on and flushed toilet multiple times to check for proper operation. Cleaned up and removed all job related debris. Option #1 with 5% discount
Arrived on site and met customer at the door he led me to the kitchen faucet which had a leak coming from the water hose connections. Informed the customer that we would either have to replace the hose or replace the faucet. Went downstairs and checked the pressure at the water heater and it measured 65 psi which is good pressure. The customer will call and schedule if they get the faucet and want it repaired. Replace faucet hose- $260 Replace a customer supplied kitchen faucet $578
Arrived on site and met homeowner at the door he took me downstairs where he wanted the sewer and water lines removed due to a leaking saddle valve and that they had no need for it anymore. I Informed the customer that to legally Cap water lines we would need to cut the water lines back to the nearest branch line so that no bacteria can form in the unused water line. For me to do that I had to cut more wall to expose the branch line (where the pipe tee,s off to feed different fixtures). After exposing the branch line and the sewer line I cut into the sewer line and put a wing nut plug in it to completely Cap it off. Turned off the water to the whole house and cut out the branch line going to the bar sink/where the saddle valve was and re tied the existing water pipe into the shower. Turned water to the house back on and checked connections for leaks. Removed fridge water line which was tied to the saddle valve by cutting open cabinets and walls to pull it through. Cleaned up work area
Arrived onsite, performed plumbing inspection. Customer's basement toilet needed a new fill valve and the handle on the angle stop shut-off valve for the toilet was frozen. Replaced stop valve and fill valve. No leaks after turning new stop valve on. Flushed toilet multiple times to check for proper operation. Customer's natural gas grill getting too hot. Advised customer that an air shutter adjustment would be needed on the Napoleon model grill and it would involve taking much of the grill apart. Also checked upstairs bathroom tub drain. Removed screen but found no hair or other debris that could be causing it to drain slowly. Ran tub faucet and found drain to be draining properly. Cleaned up and removed all job related debris.
