FALL MAINTENANCE ON ONE CARRIER HEAT PUMP FROM 2015. Upon arrival I called for heat at the thermostat and went down to air handler. The heat pump system is from 2015 and has reached its life expectancy. I took off door to the system and the insulation has all came off. I tapped it up but not safe. The insulation can come off and get into blower wheel or coil and cause a breakdown. The blower wheel has visible fungus cultivating and circulating back into the air. The evaporator coil is clogged and causing the system to be inefficient. The contesta pump attached to the drain pan from coil is in bad shape and taking too long to drain the water out. Pump is no longer reliable. I proceeded to check the outdoor unit and found compressor and fan motor eating up a lot of energy. The compressor and fan are rusted and overheating. Parts outside are in bad shape due to normal wear and tear. Overall the system is running but not within spec. Numbers are off and the system is pushing harder to ru

As a VITO VIP member, our plan includes an annual home plumbing inspection & hot water heater flush. Conor did a great job assessing our sinks, pipes, toilets, showers and offered insights on small items that warrant attention in the coming months (flappers, aerators). He diligently flushed out sediment from the hot water heater to extend the service life of our equipment. Solid technical assessment performed on-time: at zero additional cost from our maintenance plan!
Thank you for your wonderful review, Mike! We're thrilled that Conor provided excellent service during your annual inspection. Your feedback about his thorough assessment and maintenance work is greatly appreciated. We value you as a VITO VIP member.
Scheduling was easy, and the new text based updates on technician arrival status was a great feature. Bertrand was extremely professional and provided an excellent winter tune-up for our home heating system. He thoroughly covered all of the standard maintenance items and provided expert insights on the need for chemical cleaning of our blower assembly (which was likely many years overdue) without a hard sell approach. As a member of VITO’s VIP program, we realized $200 in savings for this additional service item!
Thank you for the wonderful review, Mike! We're delighted that Bertrand provided exceptional service and that you appreciated our text updates and his honest approach to maintenance recommendations.

Arrived onsite, removed existing kitchen sink drain set up. Cut PVC horizontal PVC pipe on the back wall of cabinet. Cemented 90 degree fitting and wye to be able to pick up both k/s basins. On right hand basin, installed new flanged tailpiece and PVC p-trap. Connected to wye with pipe. On k/s basin with garbage disposal, installed new p-trap onto disposal waste arm. Connected to straight outlet of wye with 2 22.5 degree fittings. Reconnected DW waste hose to disposal. Ran kitchen faucet and checked for leaks and proper drainage. Also filled up both k/s basins with water and released stopper to ensure new drain install is leak free. Customer had explained to me on Monday that there was a sewer odor coming from k/s area. Found an open 1.5" PVC pipe above the kitchen sink drain pipe on the back wall. Capped the pipe with fernco to stop odor. Cleaned up and removed all job related debris.
Arrived onsite, customer had leaking garbage disposal, also noticed drain was not up to code. Recommended replacing garbage disposal and cutting out drywall under sink to see if PVC line can be lowered. After cutting out drywall, found that the vertical pipe that I would need to cut was behind a cabinet and therefore inaccessible without cutting into cabinet. Removed existing disposal and pipe. Replaced disposal and connected to existing electrical line. Replaced drain as well and made it into a deep trap. Ran faucet down both sink basins and checked for leaks. Cleaned up and removed all job related debris.
Johnathan, Robert (AC inspection and installation), and Conor (plumbing) all did a great job. They were very polite, pleasant, and very professional.

Arrived onsite, began work in basement bathroom. Removed existing toilet and hauled away. Cleaned area around flange and installed new wax ring and closet bolts. Assembled new Toto toilet by connecting tank to bowl. Set new toilet on flange and tightened closet bolts. Cut bolts and installed white bolt caps. Installed new seat and installed customer's foldable toilet safety rail. Reconnected water supply line and flushed toilet multiple times to check for proper operation. Next, disconnected existing shower head in basement bathroom. Installed new hand held shower head and ran faucet to check for proper operation. Moved on to 1st floor hallway bathroom. Removed existing shower head and installed new gold hand held shower head. Installed gold toe touch drain stopper. Picked up new tub spout at supply house. Sold ... AC and Coil. They did not want to replace the furnace at this time. We will come back to install HVAC Parts
Arrived onsite, performed plumbing inspection. Recommended replacing basement toilet, all 3 existing showerheads in each bathroom with hand held shower/sprayer (2nd floor shower gold finish), Re-caulking 2nd floor bedroom walk in shower, and replacing hallway bathroom tub stopper (gold finish). Customer opted to go for all tasks so I threw in a complimentary hand held shower. Need to order materials and once they arrive office will call customer to schedule.
Arrived onsite, customer informed me that water heater is making a "knocking" noise when running hot water from taps. Advised customer it is likely due to sediment buildup (calcium & magnesium deposits) in the bottom of the WH tank. Flushed WH with garden hose into nearby drain for approximately 30 minutes. Ran hot water from multiple taps upon completion and did not hear noise. Also informed customer that with service contract, we come once a year to do a plumbing check, which includes a free water heater flush.
Excellent service
Thank you, Asmahan!
Customer Scheduled Plumbing Maintenance
AC MAINTENANCE CHECK ON ONE UNIT. Checked and replaced filter with one provided. I checked indoor blower wheel motor housing compartment for any obstructions and found none. Blower amps within specs. I checked evaporator coil condensate drain pan and flushed it down with approximately 2 gallons of water and added condensate tablets to ensure proper drainage. I checked all wiring and connections and all other limits and safety switches functioning properly. I checked temperatures and got a 20 degree delta T. I adjusted and opened damper for upstairs. I proceeded to check the outdoor condenser coil and found a a bit dirty causing some restriction and can lead to costly damage to compressor overtime. I checked parts and found reliable except the contractor. The contractor is burnt and visibly worn. Once contact coil gets completely burnt the ac will either run indefinitely or it won’t come on at all. I checked amps for outdoor fan and compressor and found okay. Overall ac is running ho
Needed repairs for system Surge protection for indoor and outdoor. Today I arrived on site HEAT PUMP Inspection: Found the indoor unit communicating, but the outdoor unit had a fault and was in lockout. Observed burn marks on the contactor and a bad 45/7.5 capacitor. Noted the HEAT PUMP was dirty and picking up dryer vent dust. Recommended surge protectors for both units. CARRIER HEAT PUMP Repairs: Installed a new 45/7.5 capacitor. Replaced the burnt contactor. Cleaned the outdoor unit. Added surge protection to both units. System is now on and cooling. For a carrier supplier of parts that don’t like to use them but they like to charge arm & leg for universal parts, overcharge for service appointments and use poor diagnostics and finding the problems
Arrived at my customer home for ac not working properly I did a system check and find one bad fan motor part have been ordered will return when parts get delivered customer pay in full
Upon arrival customer concerns system may be low on freon. Checked system and found no issues at this time. System is performing the best it can. System is good on pressure and both compressor and condenser fan motor are amping fine. Recommended replacing system because of age of system. Customer agreed to have someone come out for a quote.
HVAC Parts Installation: Return Visit to install new control board in AC Unit
For this job I did an AC maintenance on a 2017 carrier infinity unit. Indoor unit 80% furnace I got a split temp of 18. Filter needs to be changed client is well aware and will have to order more filters to replace. I noticed a lot of dust , dust mites and per dander cultivating within the air duct potentially spreading throughout air vents and indoor syetem, These substances can trigger allergic reactions, respiratory discomfort and irritation. I recommended a duct cleaning to attack then dust growing in the vents. Also, it could improve air flow and indoor air quality. Blower wheel amps are reading 4.4. Although blower wheel is running, blower wheel blades are in need of a blower wheel chemical cleaning lvl 2. the dirt on the wheel has become hardened and will decrease blower wheels performance. Evaporater coils are clean with no signs of corrosion or leakage. Condensate line is draining with no problem. Control board is functioning well and communicating with the system.
